Dan Rawlings

For the project with Orbit Homes, the messaging around sustainability was a fundamental principle of the new housing development’s place narrative. They wanted the subject of the artwork to convey a ‘green future’ and for the material or object to be sustainably sourced. Dan Rawlings achieved this by depicting local flora and fauna, illuminated with integrated solar power lighting, as well as the recycled grain silo reflecting the agricultural heritage of the site.

Sam worked on behalf of Creative Giants, supporting a curated selection of suitable artists, development of the brief, co-ordinating contracting, and managed communication between the artist and the site team.
