Sam Williams Studio Ltd. is the collective practice of artist and creative producer, Sam Williams. For more than a decade, Sam has worked across the public realm as an artist, curator, producer, and public art specialist. In 2022, this work expanded into Sam Williams Studio Ltd. to manage and deliver creative projects on a greater scale.
Sam Williams Studio
Over the last 10 years Sam has gained experience leading large scale projects for public spaces as an artist, curator, producer and project manager. Sam Williams Studio Ltd. brings together that experience, offering clients and collaborators the full breadth of Sam’s skills - a creative and ambitious thinker balanced with the ability to drive and deliver complex projects.
Sam Williams Studio works in response to each project’s unique context, both in its physical site and in its relationship with the public. We are agile and considerate.
Our projects are always underpinned by inclusive practice and we aim to actively support early career & local creatives to have access to rich opportunities. We collaborate with artists, producers, place-makers, fabricators, architects, engineers and more to deliver on the varied needs of each project.
Whether it’s a design for a festival installation, a community engagement programme, a creative placemaking project, or the curation of permanent public art. You bring the people, place, and purpose. We bring the play.
Sam Williams
Sam is an artist and public art producer who specialises in playful projects.
She works with clients, communities & businesses on ambitious projects that explore how play and creativity can enrich our everyday lives.
Drawing inspiration from her experience growing up in her hometown’s local theme park, Drayton Manor, where her family (and later she) worked - she approaches each project as an opportunity to immerse audiences in moments of wonder. Driven by a belief that our public spaces should hold some of that same magic.
Whether co-creating a site-specific installation with a community group, curating public art trails or developing designs for public space, her creative direction is always centred on sparking joy and imagination through playful interventions.
